Mothers’ Circle: The Respectful Way
Dates: 27 May
10:00am – 11:00am
Mothers' Circles are back in-person! We're so excited to be having Dr Aletheia Lee (www.therespectfulway.com), RIE® Associate & Child Development Specialist join us for this next session. Respectful parenting has gained a fair bit of traction in recent years, and rightfully so! At TLY, we believe that respectful parenting is in beautiful alignment with our trauma-aware offerings, and we're so excited to be able to hear from Dr Aletheia Lee on her philosophy and how it informs her own practice and teaching, a sharing of her current offerings as well as facilitate conversations from the group on this topic. These sessions are free to attend, and open to all who identify as mothers or caregivers. Whether you're right now expecting, or already have children, it's never too early or too late to adopt a more respectful way towards parenting. We hope you'll join us!
Read on for more information on what Mothers' Circles.
A Mothers' Circle is a safe, judgement-free and empowering space to share and connect with other mothers. We sometimes invite experts in the parenting field so that we can pick up new tips and tricks on self-care, baby care, parenting and everything else in between. A Mothers' Circle is a space to be seen, heard and understood. Our dream is for these circles to:
-be a source of comfort and support for ALL mothers regardless of circumstance or background
-empower mothers with resources and tools to guide them in this sacred (but tough as hell!) journey of motherhood
We started this platform to create a supportive community. There may be times where you may or may not agree with what is being shared by members who attend, and we ask that you arrive in circle with an open mind and heart! There is also no need to be speaking in circle - just being able to be in circle and listen to the sharing is more than enough.
