Calling all mothers! Are you looking for a holistic postpartum programme that that looks at physical recovery AND mental and emotional well-being? Good news! We will be offering our signature Post Natal Yoga programme again in Aug/Sept 2020, and this time on a Saturday!
This one-of-a-kind programme is open to all mothers - whether you've just given birth or if your kid is now in college. Since we opened, we have been committed to supporting mothers on their postpartum journeys, especially in the times we live in now where more is demanded upon mothers to 'bounce back', 'do it all' and 'have it all'. In conversations with sisters who inspired us to create this programme, we often heard “I wish I had known” and “nobody told me”, particularly about physiological issues such as diastatsis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, de quervain's tenosynovitis, and many others. Mental and emotional health issues are also downplayed, such as birth trauma, postpartum depression and other conditions that are often left ignored even by primary healthcare providers.
We believe there are better ways to empower and support mothers on their mothering journey. Our Post Natal Yoga programme comprises a 4 week programme focusing on physical recovery, as well as regular Mothers' Circles focusing on emotional and mental health support. The 4 weekly sessions is scoped with a view to equip mothers with knowledge about their postpartum body so that they may ease themselves back into general fitness and movement based activities.
The sessions will cover:
- Rehabilitation of pelvic muscles through Holistic Pelvic Care methods
- Strengthening core support from within, especially for Diastasis Recti conditions
- Releasing neck, shoulder and lower back tension, joint care
Our Mothers' Circles will offer: opportunity to connect with other mums self-care practices for mental and emotional support baby caring tips and tricks including proper techniques in baby feeding (breast/bottle) and baby wearing parenting support from professionals in the field In these circles, we will we will also invite other practitioners such as mental health workers, baby massage therapists, naturopaths, post-partum doulas, etc – to share their knowledge and provide additional resources for your parenting and self-care journey.
This programme is baby friendly, so bring your little ones along! The 4 week programme will only start with a minimum of 4 pax registered. Handouts and refreshments will be provided throughout the duration of the course.

About the facilitators
This course will be facilitated by Dewi Chen and Rowena Bai, pre-natal and post-natal yoga teachers who are also birth and post-partum Doulas.
